Singapore Singapore S. (2-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Filipino Valientes (1-2) 87-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Singapore S.. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Antonio Hester (198-1990, college: Mobile, AL) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Center Ryan Smith (213-1995, college: Tulane) chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds. Valientes' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Despite that victory Valientes went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Louvre S. Singapore S. at the other side keeps the third place with one game lost. Valientes is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Tigers (#8) in Bangkok in the next round. Singapore S. will play at home against the league's leader Heat (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Macau went down to seventh position due to points difference, which they share with defeated Tigers. Macau will again play against bottom-ranked Tigers (#8) in Bangkok in the next round. Tigers will play on the road against Valientes in Zamboanga City and hope to get finally their first victory.

HK Eastern smashed Louvre S. 101-50 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Ka-Hin Leung who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 assists. At the losing side Jamarr Johnson responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. HK Eastern have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 3-0 record behind leader Saigon Heat. Loser Louvre S. keeps the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Zamboanga. HK Eastern will meet at home Macau (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Louvre S. will play against NS Matrix and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



Macau - Tigers 109-85
